We want our clients to fall in love with their gardens and spend as much time outside enjoying them as possible. We also want to show them how porcelain paving can be used to create some truly beautiful spaces. So we set about charming the best garden designers in Hampshire and beyond to see if they were up to the task of creating a space that would inspire our clients to think big and live outside more. Luckily they liked the concept as much as we did and have produced some stunning designs using our materials.
Joe has incorporated the specified Piatto Grey Porcelain Paving as a staggered entrance path with the gaps between tiles filled with our Mendip Chippings the path is then edged with our Black Granite Setts. The path leads you to a seating terrace with walls clad in our StoneClad Black and a lovely coreten fire pit feature. The planting features some height with a birch tree and a Portuguese Laurel to frame the seating area. Further framing is provided by large format porcelain sheets in a dark grey with some contemporary planters placed in front of the screen for colour.
Neil’s relaxed modern design features our Piatto Black Porcelain laid at 45 degrees to make the most of the rectangular plot with a central Millboard deck raised one step to provide interest mid way down the garden and compliment the paving. Three Black stained timber arches alongside the deck provide a strong vertical emphasis, offering some enclosure to the rear garden for casual seating. A raised triangular planter creates further seperation to the 2 halves of the garden and brings the planting up to waist height. At the back of the garden the area is semi private for sitting out with a log burner to stay warm into the evening. A rendered wall with pleached trees in front provide screening/ privacy to the space within a contemporary style. The garden is designed such that visitors could relate the layout to either a long narrow garden or a wide, shallow plot. Finally the detailing of the garden focuses on the Physical Elements of; Fire – Water – Air – Earth, with the water bowl at the entrance to the garden surrounded by cool flower colours progressing to the fire stove at the rear surrounded by warm foliage and flower colours. The earth is represented by the planting and the whole space is an outdoor room to enjoy the air!
Designed by Michelle Brown Garden Design of RHS Chelsea fame. We love working with Michelle as she always brings enthusiasm and interesting ideas to projects. Her artistic eye for detail and combining hard landscaping products with planting always creates beautiful spaces that you want to just hang out in. And this design is no different. The entrance to the garden has a beautiful flower bed to the right backed with a fence of Softwood Railway Sleepers which act as back-rests for the seating inside the first terraced area of this multi-level design. The entrance path leads to this patio area constructed with our Acton Blue Modular Porcelain Paving. The terrace area is encircled by benches constructed with porcelain. Off the main terrace porcelain ‘timber’ style planks form a series of steps that wrap around a central planting area terminating in a day bed deck. These planks are our Acton Timber Brown porcelain tiles and they lead around the raised feature planting area to a daybed where you can relax under the shade of the lovely Acer Tree. This planting area also contains various flowering plants and one of our Glacial Boulders.
Featuring our new Piatto Beige Porcelain Paving laid in a stack bond format and framed with the textured warm grey tones of our Sawn & Sandblasted Grey Sandstone. This same sandstone is also used to create bench style seating areas at the sides and in the far corners of the garden. A usable lawn space breaks up the paved areas and provides soft texture. This lawn would be low maintenance too as it’s artificial- to be created with Knightsbridge from easigrass. Height and drama is provided at the entrance of the garden with olive trees in each corner and a Slate Monolith Water Feature at the centre of the rear. Further colour is provided through the use of our Slate Chippings and various plants and shrubs.
Designed and built by Dan Shaw of Marvel Paving & Construction this is a low maintenance themed garden built to show off Dan’s hard landscaping skills. It features three paved areas using our Acton Rust Modular Porcelain Paving in its various sizes. You’ll notice the edges of the paving and the copings in the raised circle seating area have been bullnosed – this is a special stone masonry finish we offer to our clients on all of our paving products. The paved areas are framed with Black Limestone Setts used and the mulch border areas filled with our Scottish Pebbles.

This is our own garden and we’ve all had a little input into the ideas behind it. The feature wall at the rear is probably the dominant aspect of this garden and it shows off some our stone walling products like Knapped Flint and various Stone Walling Blocks and Setts that can be used in the construction of garden walls. The paving is our wonderful light and bright Acton Silver Modular in three sizes, framed with Black Limestone Setts laid on their edge to give a thinner looking edging. The centre piece of the garden is a low level table we’ve constructed with a water feature within it. The table centre piece is made from our Black Limestone paving with the surrounding copings created from Acton Silver. We had a lot of help with the planting from Michelle Brown who picked out a beautiful multi-stem birch tree along with some flowering shrubs to give the garden some life.
