In the season finale to our Making Dream Landscapes mini-series we reflect on a job well done by Dan and MPAC and show you the results of three weeks landscaping on site. Dan and his team had to battle the elements on this build as Autumn took hold. They faced a gas leak on a local surrounding road which resulted in them parking over a mile away and walking to site to ensure some work was done! Fantastic commitment to the timescale the owner’s had set.
Dan discusses what he thought of the Miles Stone service, his ideas on slab selection & pointing and his favourite part of the project (no prizes for guessing that correctly!). His categorising of individual slab quality as he unloaded our stone will be of particular interest to those that work with natural stone regularly. Dan’s ethos is to use the finest slabs in the areas that will get most use of most visual attention with the tiles that are a little more uneven being relegated to paths or lesser used areas. A logical approach to dealing with a natural product.
We also catch up with the property owners who were very pleased with the finished result. There property was surrounded by tired and dull concrete slabs and uneven steps, it now sports beautifully bright airy Mint Sandstone and a rejuvenated Chess Board for the grandkids to play on! The owners were particularly pleased with the assistance they received from us and the fact that we could recommend a tradesmen we knew would do a good job. We hope you love the finished paving as much as we do!
